From the 22nd to the 24th of October 2021, the 1st Brazil Indigenous Film Festival UK (BIFF-UK) took place at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA-London). Curated by Takumã Kuikuro and Christian Fischgold, the Festival is the result of research carried out at the University of Manchester, supervised by prof. Lucia Sá. Among other materials, the Festival catalog features an introduction by the curators entitled “KAHEHIJÜ ÜGÜHÜTU: A counter-colonial way of representing Indigenous issues”.
